Window-Garden Abstract

Rachael spotted the patterns the light from the stair window was throwing across the garden, and suggested I might be able to make an abstract from it.

This is a mix of colours and shapes, where you have the window frame outlines, the lawn with a path running through it, and a bush with autumn leaves in the foreground. To make it that bit more surreal, I treated it with a "plastic wrap" effect.

One thing that isn't an effect is the curved lines in the bottom left. That particular pane of the window is quite old, and the glass has curved "waves" in it; you don't notice them much looking through it, but with the light shining through it the shadows emphasise the pattern.
