Cocoa On the Half Shell

Our last full day in Ecuador...En route to Guayaquil we passed the Andean Continental Divide at 14,000 feet. As you can imagine, the landscapes were spectacular! (Check my Flickr page for those photos) We passed through the Cloud Forest and dropped into the Tropical Lowlands where we visited an amazingly wonderful family farm where the owner graciously showed us his crops of Cocoa, Mango and Rice. The farm is a perfect habitat for bats, birds and other wild creatures. (which I will soon share with you on my Flicker Page) We were then treated to a delicious meal of Mangrove Crab Salad, Sea Bass and Cocoa Tiramisu for dessert! What a great way to conclude our Ecuador Adventure! Friendly People, Beautifully Diverse Fascinating Country, Great Food, Spectacular Wildlife and Landscapes! I highly recommend that you visit Ecuador!
