Snuggled up!

A lovely, bright, flat calm day so we spent the morning outside tidying up,  Ollie and I mostly in the garden, Mike angle grinding the old trailer into bits to take to the skip.

The soil is not too wet along at the veg patch and I lifted a good bucket of potatoes, but there seems to be nothing at all under the Jerusalem artichokes.  Little white bantam, Bonny, enjoyed herself scratching about in the soil.  Unfortunately she and the three new bantams will not get on.  Lots of screeching and chasing and Bonny hiding, quivering, in the nest box, so she is back in her own pen!  She is more trouble than all the hens I have ever, ever had put together!  My fault for making a pet of her - I'm not sure she knows she actually is a hen!

Although it doesn't look like it from this photo, Ollie is a lot brighter and more lively now, sleeping soundly without a cry or a whimper.  Whether it is the tablets or not, he is much happier and less anxious.  Such a relief to have him more like his old self!
