Many, many stitches

It's taken long enough but the main section of of the quilt is finished and all the threads on the back tidied up.

The next task is to decide on a quilting pattern for the border .... if it's straight lines I'll use the machine ....  if there are curves or swirls of any sort it will be hand quilting ... I'll take advice from Paula, my patchwork teacher ... she always knows just the right quilting pattern.

It's been a horrible day .... dull, damp, dreich and devoid of light and colour .... my least favourite type of weather. Tomorrow looks like more of the same ... yeuch!
