Occasionally Focused

Fixed king

I snapped this lovely gentleman this morning, using portrait mode in my iPhone X.

Problem...

The top of his beak was a bit over-bright, which led the phone to think it was part of the background, and include it in the blurred-out bokeh-making. Which led to a parrot with a big hole in his beak.

Oops.

So I “un-portraited” the photo, and imported both versions into Photoshop Mix on my iPad. I blended in just the beak from the non-portrait version, keeping the rest of the processed version.

Result: this. Pretty good, I think. And in the end not too much work.
