A Dog's Dinner

Not Worth A Hill of Beans

Isn't there something very satisfying about all these tins lined up on the supermarket shelf?

By my reckoning this pile of beans, or corn, will buy around one hundred and twenty six shares in that august institution The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Cans of beans are worth more than bank shares. Am I dreaming this stuff?

This afternoon we watched the share price drop to just over ten pence. No matter how you cut it, it's an utter disgrace that puts everyone in the UK into new and uncharted waters.

What comes next? Buy lots of beans or sweetcorn.........!
