Unexpected evening!!!

We finally got on board the Clipper 2 hours late to start our overnight ferry journey to the UK to see our son and family. When I asked what time we were actually going to leave the crew member said 5 o'clock. I laughed and said "yes that's when we were meant to leave!" He looked at me and said....you obviously haven't been told that we are staying in St Peter Port overnight and leaving for jersey at 5am in the morning. The weather is outside of the limits for the ferry at gale force 8! We will arrive in Portsmouth after 4pm tomorrow instead of 6am. So we've had a lovely meal and we have a cabin to relax in...Can't do anything about it so will just enjoy it. At least we can relax. The weather was the cause so nothing they can do about it! At least we have a lovely view of St Peter Port from our cabin and we are relaxing!
