Steam train

Typically it was bright and sunny for our last morning in York. We walked along the city walls and used our NTS membership to visit the Treasurers House behind the Minster. It looked lovely all decorated for Christmas.

After collecting our luggage we headed to the railway station. As we waited on the platform there was great excitement as this steam train, the Royal Scot as I'm sure blipper JohnRH would know, appeared. A lot of passengers got off from lovely looking carriages, a great treat I'm sure.

An uneventful journey home, then unpacking and catching up with the washing!
