Calculating.......

......whether I REALLY need to go out food shopping today (it's sunny but there's an icy wind and the overnight frost hasn't shifted on the roofs of the houses at the top of the street!) or whether I can dine on leftovers tonight.....on balance scraps are looking ever more attractive......
