Fun in the sun

I still don't know why I did it, but I ran 5k this morning in 38 minutes. It's not a world record time (the parkrun stats tell me it's 34% of the world record as modified by my age and gender) but as its 7 years since I ran that far, and I not did one training run of 2 miles last week, I'm rather chuffed about it.

And now I'm registered with parkrun (parkrun.org.uk) I can turn up at any parkrun anywhere in the world, at 9am on a Saturday morning, and do it all over again. Is it tempting? I don't think so.

But big thanks to Clare and Sarah for helping me round, and most especially to Laura.

Tis photo was taken at about the 3,5km mark, and you can just about see the faster runners finishing on the other side of the river.
