Ypres memorials

Spending a day or so in Ypres in Belgium. Visited the Menin Gate Memorial where the names of many thousands of soldiers who died in WW1 and who were never found, are engraved in the walls of this imposing structure.

Unfortunately it is now raining hard but Ypres looks spectacular with its Christmas lights and the Christmas market in the Grote Mkt.

. We will shortly be attending the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate to remember all those who sacrificed their lives in the Great War.
