Born in sauna

I visited photographer Alexander Lembke's exhibition Born in sauna while waited Emma from her practise. German Lembke has photographed and interviewed Finns who have born in sauna. In former times all Finns were born in saunas, because it was clean and warm place with hot water. 

The exhibition shows large portraits of people who were born in sauna. In poetic films, they tell their stories about their individual relationship to the sauna and their sauna rituals. There were portraits of two girls born in 2000's who were born in sauna. Very rare nowadays! The youngest person portrayed in the exhibition is 5 years old now, the oldest one is 102.
