Brakes

Went into town after work to see new film Brakes with Noel Fielding tonight. Nice swanky cinema and a q&a with the cast afterwards. Odd film, but enjoyable.

Driving into town listening to the story unfolding at Oxford Circus. 5pm on black Friday and the are swarms of police, ambulances and fire engines down Regent Street as well as a police helicopter overhead. Twitter feeds starting gunshots heard in Selfridges, the tube and in the street. Turns out it was a fight that got out of hand. Glad out was nothing more serious and grateful to emergency services for lightening response times.

We drive down Regent Street 10 minutes after the police cordon was lifted. Back to bustling as if it'd all been a dream.
