Columbia River Gorge

This taken near Bridge of the Gods, a bridge spanning the Columbia River, connecting Oregon and Washington. The area has an interesting history. One story we read told of Lewis and Clark losing a canoe with its contents on their return trip, while portaging around the turbulent rapids. The rapids are all covered now due to Bonneville Dam just three miles downriver.
We had a nice ride home with two of the grandchildren for company.
