Hail Stones!!

I was awakend by the most deafening noise above me, at 12.30 am this morning and suddenly realised the house was at the centre of a massive hail storm...it continued for 10 minutes, after which an inch thick carpet of them covered the ground outside...these in the Blip are still left in the bird bath this morning. Never experienced anything like it, in the 40 years we've lived here!
