Christmas Shopping in Chester

This morning we took Mum-in-Law shopping in Macclesfield looking for some new blouses for her: since she moved into a care home she's eating better than she has done for a while and her old clothes are getting a bit tight round the middle! However nothing was "right" so we may have to try again another day.

We're now in Chester for a couple of nights; we each have our birthday around this time of year so we often have a day or two away about now to celebrate (I'm two days younger than the Editor...proves we were made for each other even though we're both Sagittarians so we shouldn't really get on well together!). As we wandered round the shops I took my new fisheye lens with me and captured some shots like this.

In case you don't know, Chester has some fab old streets with two-tier medieval shopping galleries (called "The Rows") - they're over 700 years old. We were glad of them as they helped us to keep under cover, away from the frequent showers of sleet.
