Pineapple

Hey ho - a day that didn't turn out as planned.

On a sunny Thursday morning I decided that I would drive over, later in the afternoon, to The Pineapple in Dunmore and take some photos with a view to posting one as my contribution to the Blip Community Architecture feed.

However, in the early afternoon I got a phone call that put these plans on hold. In the event I did make it over to The Pineapple, by which time it was getting dark and the earlier sun had been replaced by cloudy skies.

The Pineapple was built in 1761 for the 4th Earl of Dunmore, possibly as a summer house. It is now under the custodianship of the National Trust for Scotland.
