Common People

The River Glenderamackin is the name of this stream going down the mountainside, at the bottom of Sharp Edge on Blencathra to the right and Bannerdale Crags to the left. We walked up one side of it and down the other to Mungrisdale Common.
Mungrisdale Common is a Wainwright rather derided by serious walkers as not being very exciting, but I rather liked the snow blown bleakness of it today in the winter light. 
There were a surprising number of people up and about today, it was pretty cold and windy so a good day for this walk and not quite as exposed as a higher peak.
