Cotswold water park

Tonight I am staying at a hotel right next to one of the lakes at the Cotwold Water Park.

The park consists of many lakes that have been formed out of old gravel pits and will presumably continue to expand as there still working gravel pites in the vicinity which will presumably be turned into takes eventually.

The many lakes are used for a variety of purposes, from wildlife reserves to watersports. All in all it's a very worthwhile place to explore, with it's own visitor centre and cafe and next to that branch of Cotswold Leisure in case you forgot any outdoors gear.
