Psst, Want Some Lego?

Our son has bought a monumental Lego collection from someone (to replace some he sold without our knowledge a while ago, which we were cross about as it included a lot of his sister’s sets too).

We collected it from his house a couple weeks ago and we have now started to wash it and sort it - which will take a while as there are crates and crates of it.

There are only one or two sets of instruction leaflets (a lorry, a fire engine and an Indiana Jones themed set - of which their appears to be two).

There is a railway and train set and at least one set of Star Wars models. There are also some unopened packets.

After washing the bits in the dishwasher (in lingerie bags) they are laid out on towels and then sorted according to colour and picking out all the figures separately. There are hundreds of little figures - at the moment a collection of arms, legs, heads, hair and torsos.

This is just a very small fraction of the total.

Once sorted we will try to build the sets that we have instructions for and then try to establish what other sets we may have and download the instructions from Lego.

This could keep me busy for months….
