The end of the road

I bought a bunch of peonies at work a week past Friday but silly me left them on my desk.   They were looking well past their best by the time I got back to them on Monday so I just left them on the desk to gradually fade.

Now, a week later, they're looking really sad but their sadness has a great beauty to it.  

A bit of Nik and they're looking rather lovely once again, albeit in a very different state.

PS After having caught up on blips 2 days ago and aiming to keep up to date,  I was disappointed not to be able to post yesterday as my computer has had a serious crash.  Phone pic to the rescue!
