A Feathered Member of The Green Party ?

Whilst outside having coffee what a surprise to watch this bird picking up small pieces of none edible rubbish and taking them to the gutter. The gutters are swept with a special machine each day . Is their regular volunteer work  clearing thrown away food now coupled with Green thinking on synthetics ? If so, what next ?
