It's a Beautiful Life

A very Scottish scene

28th September was our 10th Wedding Anniversary. To celebrate, hubby took me to a lovely country house hotel in Perthshire for a 3 course lunch, which was lovely. Afterwards we sat in the drawing room in wing-backed chairs, in the sunny bay window, and supped coffee and ate tablet, pretending we were the landowners of this beautiful place!

Afterwards, we walked a little along the River Tay and spotted men fishing from a little rowing boat, before heading to Scone Palace for a bit of history. Apparently it is the place where a large number of Scottish Kings were crowned, including Robert the Bruce in 1306! It is a great place to visit, with grand rooms and a beautiful garden. This is the view from the gardens back towards the castle. More information here for those interested.

In the evening we feasted some more at a Thai restaurant and enjoyed the company of some good friends. All in all, an excellent day!

I'm catching up on the last couple of weeks' absence, so yesterday is backblipped if you're interested :o)
