Surveying the scene!

Yesterday morning there were still quite a few hawthorn berries left on the tree and a lot of bunches of grapes on the vine in the garden. I was out all day until dark but this morning noticed that the tree is pretty well bare and the vine almost stripped. 

Today I have seen the suspected culprits - a flock of redwing and blackbirds. My blip is a mug shot of one of the gang seen sitting on a neighbour's tree in the sun and probably digesting the goodies from my garden. The fruit is for the birds but I'd liked to have seen them doing the picking!
