Christmas Market....

...in Winchester, where it was SO cold today! 

Three of us met at East Croydon. A diminished group but better than cancel the arrangement. Then while on the train to Clapham Junction, we learnt another member of the group was looking for us back at EC. Whoops. There had been a bit of a misunderstanding!  We waited while she caught the next train and joined us and simply caught the slightly later train to Winchester.

A city I've visited several times. Old and with history, cobbled streets and archways and a magnificent cathedral. And today, with the wooden huts typical of a Christmas market and many examples of clever and beautiful crafts. 

Just, it was SO COLD! We tried mulled wine, hot chocolates and coffees to warm ourselves up! But it has been a happy and relaxed day, in good company with long time friends. 

And I think I'm just about thawed out!
