Memories

A day to remember.

I am enjoying blip so much and it is encouraging me in my photography. Thought I would do this in memory of my Dad. He was Peterborough Chief Photographer at East Midlands Allied Press in the 1950s and 1960s. I got my enthusiasm for photography from him and I learnt so much in terms of composition etc, although I'm afraid, as hard as he tried, the technical stuff just didn't sink in at that time, I was too young! I'm only just finally beginning to get to grips with it.

He's pictured here with one of the cameras he used when taking press photos. I'm glad I don't have to carry one like that! The one in front is the last one he owned. I think he would have loved digital.
