Green Goddess......

.....is a most unusual Calla Lily or Arum Lily. It has a delightful fragrance and stunning colours, florists love it!

I didn't feel the love for this plant and for years I've cut it back, neglected it and even tried to dispose of it....but here it is still surviving and I've given in. But surprisingly enough I'm quite taken with it, it's only taken 22 years but after researching and now blipping, well let's just say you might see a little more of the 'Green Goddess'

The plus side is that it flowers from late spring through to early autumn, it's an exceptional cut flower with it's pretty green and creamy white flower on along slender stems, it's won the Award of Garden Merit for the Royal Horticultural Society and it's proper name is Zantedeschia aethiopica.

Now I'm wondering what plants to put beside it, full sun to partial shade, any ideas?

Thanks to Anni for continuing to host Flower Friday :)

Happy weekend everyone :)
