Zwarte Piet

Black Pete, in Dutch Zwarte Piet, is part of the Dutch Sinterklaas tradition. The last couple of years there has been much debate around this tradition. I hope we (the Dutch) will find some sort of agreement in which we can keep the tradition alive but without hurting the feelings of part of our fellow countrymen...

In this case, Sinterklaas and two Pieten visited us at work. This is also a tradition: funds are raised for gifts for the children who have to celebrate Sinterklaas in the hospital.
