A Grand Day Out

Great excitement, we took the ferry, Isle of Mull, across to the Isle of Mull today:-) Every day I see her in and out, and long to be aboard. We were foot passengers, never done that before, and caught the service bus up to the main settlement, Tobermory. Sunshine all the way, lunch and tea outside overlooking the harbour, walks and a hill climb - well, let's face it everywhere you go from Tobermory is a hill climb. But my absolute joy of the day is passing the lighthouse on Lismore in this superb weather. The range of hills in the background is stupendous, and I'm thinking the highest double peak is Ben Cruachan, the mountain that contains the hydro electric generators for the power station on Loch Awe. In large, you can just see the Connel Bridge of earlier blips. My little heart sings ....
