Lady Lynx.....

..... spider.  And how do I know that it's a lady? 

On account of she is guarding her egg sac.   I've never seen this before, and I think it demonstrates just how good the season is. 

There are hundreds of butterflies; swarms of hover flies, masses of flying insects of all sorts; all of which means there is a lot of food.  Lots of food means a good breeding season.

And that means I get to see a Lady Lynx Spider guarding her egg sac.

What goes around comes around.
