Pretty

We saw some great birds today, but I was also very taken by this flower that I spotted outside the place where we ate lunch (and did a fair amount of birding from the observation deck/porch thing. A place called Mindo Loma. The clouds had descended so the background was lovely and misty. I don't know what it is. I could see from other flowers on the plant that before it opens up, it's just the red sort of purse, heart-shaped thing.
