Reverse Advent...

Saw this idea on BBC news the other day and thought it was rather good so me and the kids set about some cardboard with some scissors and scellotape and made a reverse advent calendar.

The way it works is that there are 24 empty numbered slots. Each day of December we fill that slot with a non perishable food stuff. On the 24th we take it to the local food bank.

One of the coolest things about it... the kids fully embraced it and are planning what they're going to put in it each day.

Oh...smudge ain't going to the food bank. That's just where he ended up last night.
