Down The Valley

We were blessed with another lovely, misty morning and I was glad that inspite of only having slept for an hour, I was able to get up and detour round by the lake before going to work.

I often stop here and take some shots, in real life the view is breathtaking but the conversion from 3D into 2D misses the element of surprise at turning a corner and seeing the valley spread out below and the fairly steep descent.

Sometimes this end of the lake can be covered in a thin layer of ice, other times by a thick layer of mist. At every visit the view is different, but always wonderful.

It's the first time it's found its way into this journal.
