Trip to Trieste

Finally, my time to rest and celebrate has arrived!

After a daunting final oral assessment (which I passed to finally become a fully qualified UKCP Psychotherapist (with child & adolescent specialism) after 7 years of study & practice, I flew off to Venice.

My Italian brother-in-law & Moroccan sister-in-law cane to collect me at the airport and we drove up to Trieste. The journey passed quickly because we never stopped talking!

We arrived at the Port to find the brand-new cruise ship (MSC Seaside) parked up & ready to sail! I was stunned by its proportions! (On the evening, from the apartment, we could hear the firework display going off to inaugurate the ship).

We then went for lunch at a busy pizzeria. I chose mine with 'salsiccie e friarelli' & it was delicious. Our next stop was collecting my little 3 y/o niece from her new school (Trieste's international school) where she is busy learning English.

The weather was very 'English', i.e. cold, grey and drizzly and it was nice to arrive at their new apartment and drink a pot of Moroccan mint tea (see extra) and eat dried fruit and nuts. In the evening, we had a delicious meal together, Morrocan style, around a low table in the living room.
