Old rose

I just love autumn and what a beautiful day it was. Sun shining, crisp, sharp air, blue skies - apparently tonight we may be able to see the aurora borealis - although had the first frost to scrape off the car window this morning.

Dried roses in new vase - a lovely gift from Sweetpea - sitting very nicely now, thank you, at the side of the fire. I must remember to cut some Hydrangeas next week and try drying them again. I did this once before and it worked quite well. I'll need to look it up but I seem to remember soaking the stems in blue-dyed glycerine first..
