When Fergus ran about at Carskey Bay

9.2C and cloudy, with a few bright spells. Moderate NNW/NW breeze.

Grocery shopping.

Went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. There quite a few seals on the rocks at Kiel, with more in the water offshore.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again along the path at the back of the beach with the last little bit back on the beach itself. Since we had the beach completely to ourselves Fergus got off his lead and had a lot of fun running about. He seems much more attracted to the back of a beach than to the water's edge and once again he disappeared over the top of the dunes. Since we knew there was enough rough ground behind the beach and a river between Fergus and the fields of sheep we just ignored it and sure enough he reappeared soon enough. Today he was definitely seen to check where we were two or three times and he came back (more or less) a couple of times when called, and of course he was rewarded with little bits of meaty strip treats. All good.

Later Apothecary7 was compiling her order for Santa. (Mine will take two minutes).
