My beloved Oslo - the Christmas Tree

Since 1919 the city's Christmas tree has been lit at the University Square the first Sunday in December.  We start with a torchlight parade, Christmas carols and so on. The Salvation Army stands there every day and people are generous with gifts. I think most years they breaks the record.
