Waputik Mountains reflected in Waterfowl Lake

Driving along the Icefields Parkway towards Rampart Creek and our wilderness hostel for the night. Today was a driving day, sightseeing without much activity required was strangely unsatisfying. The oddest experience we had was a detour up to see the Columbia Icefields. Everything in Banff National Park is beautiful, well looked after and gives you a real sense of being in the middle of nowhere- except the Columbia Icefields Centre which is miserable and packed full of tour buses. The glacier should be amazing but you can buy a 15 minute bus ride onto the ice and bus after bus after bus go up there. We didn't stay long.
