Fascinating Fungi

I came across this felled tree in the woods and noticed this interesting fungus growing on it. There have been various blips of fungus recently and I seem to be noticing things like this nowadays. Fascinating stuff, although I have no idea what type fungus it is. Maybe I should broaden my knowledge in this subject area!
