Landscapes

Continuing to watch 'Landscape Artist of the Year' with some interest.
I don't agree with most of the decisions the panel make and this week I was mortified when they didn't give a final place to a young man who uses ink (and bleach!) to make fabulous, near monochrome, images of startling complexity and originality. Instead they gave a place to an artist who couldn't even show the complex perspective in the field.

I didn't have a field of lavender, I had to make do with this field of carrots and I am sticking to my 'grey days for monochrome' approach so I din't even get the colours that ink and bleach produces!

I was taken by the way the LAOTY show, suddenly, had me seeing the topology SO clearly!
