Root Canal Treatment!

Spent a happy morning on a refresher course learning about the latest root canal treatment techniques! Okay, I'm prepared to accept it might not be everyone's idea of fun, but it was a good laugh as well as being interesting and informative. The best bit was playing with the phantom heads! The rubber "skin" zips off and underneath there is plastic jaw and skull.

Anyway, this is yours truly, amusing myself with rubber dam, a technique which allows you to isolate the tooth and prevents bits and pieces falling into the patient's mouth and down their throat!

And then this afternoon we had a fire training session - avoidance and safety rather than how to get a good blaze going! Oh what fun you can have, when you put your mind to it!
