One daze at a time...

Beautiful orbs

(some of the celestial variety)

Escaped to the library at lunchtime, after a morning of corporate nonsense, and an emotional farewell to my manager of almost 9 years.

The exhibition of astronomical photographs really helped to put things into perspective.
I mean, what is a series of micro deadlines compared to galaxies spanning hundreds of light years?
What is the impact of a herd of headless chickens compared to the Horsehead Nebula in the Orion constellation?
What could possible be worse? A shower of meteorites, or a shower of bollixes all issuing contradictory orders?

Some of these photographs were really really really good. And spoke of higher things. Bigger. Brighter.
Essential things.

Half an hour later the latest batch of super urgent emails issued by voracious corporate piranhas at already eaten away at the beauty of the cosmos.

By 5 pm, intergalactic distances seemed a short hop compared to my climb of the golgotha that is the last hour of my offical (and paid for) online presence, before the bottomless fall into unpaid overtime.
