Memorial

To think I used to cycle up Dundas St and the Mound every day. Nearly killed me today. All to pick up the daughter’s marriage certificate and drop if off at her office. Well, I did offer. I winced at the sight of the groups of desks and the hush.
Then a meet with JSittting in Cairngorm coffee to discuss all things NYC, and also the world of work. More wincing. On to sand that asparagus tip. Deeply satisfying work outside, as the day darkened. I had my thermals on, of course. And woolly hat. And no fuckwits from work. Just me. Honestly, I do believe I’m the most privileged of people living in the most privileged of times. I shall leave a large asparagus tip to remind my (insert opposite of antecedents here) of my greatness.
