Private J E Gibbons.

A pretty normal sort of Wednesday for us today... A little bit of work from home for The J's, some fiddling about with this and that and the usual trip to Fulbourn.

Margaret volunteers as part of the Chaplaincy Team at Fulbourn Psychiatric Hospital which goes back to the 1850s. The asylum opened on 6 November 1858 as the County Pauper Lunatic Asylum for Cambridgeshire, the Isle of Ely and the Borough of Cambridge. There used to be a cemetery attached to the asylum which has been cleared and is now an open space. There is a memorial to those who died in the asylum and were buried there and right on the edge is this war grave memorial for Private J E Gibbons.
