so immature!

I believe this is an immature or juvenile great blue heron. This bird was sitting right on top of our own lift, so I was able to get close to him, without bothering him. The great white egret was behind him (although not in this shot) grooming himself on our neighbor's lift across the canal. Like steve says, we are infested . . . and happy about it! I love watching *and photographing* these magnificent large birds. I also uploaded an abstract of the great white heron, one blip entry back. ;O)
