The Shoulder Of Orion.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."

- Roy Batty, from Blade Runner.

Striding over the spire of North Leith Parish Church, the great constellation of Orion heralds the approach of Winter skies with the faithful Dog Star Sirius at his feet. Jupiter shines from between the horns of Taurus; at 413.1 million miles it is but a stone's throw from Earth, compared to the baleful red bull's-eye of Aldebaran that stares at us across 65 light-years of interstellar night.
