Mountain view

After a trip to the local airport which is very impressive in its appearance very low key and more like a hotel. We then went for a walk in the nearby mountains walked over a large area of coarse rock and rubble before turning into this large gorge area. It is more sheltered here and date palms and cacti are growing. The remains of terraces are visible further down the steep sides that make one wonder just how they found access so far down. A great walk in the sun with a cool breeze in areas.

We even had time for a refreshing dip in the pool.
