Convoy

The wild weather yesterday wreaked havoc with the Churchill Barriers. One side of the fencing ( which I would normally call barriers but if I do this will be really confusing) broke away and I assume blew or was pushed by waves across the road to crash into the fence on the other side. Totally crushed it, looked like it was hit by a truck. Today the traffic has been allowed to cross in a guided convoy.

Edit - should have mentioned that the road was closed for about 12 hours yesterday. Fortunately we were all at home before the barriers were closed so we were safely and cozily marooned at home. They are opening and closing the road when it’s safe to cross.
