Home Fires Burning

The forecasted heavy snow missed us - still cold though - hope you’re all managing to keep warm and safe and haven’t encountered the worst of the snow

Pottered around the village noticing from the plumes of smoke from chimneys - many home fires were burning - and wondering if people still roast their chestnuts in an open fire - as mentioned in a popular Christmas song

Will be a cold walk to meet friends for a teatime drink - the company and fires there should soon warm us up
