Seeking shelter

It has snowed on and off all day but after a visit from #1 daughter who  braved the elements to check if we were OK I too trudged my way up our lane in the hope of seeing some keen tobogganists on the hills but didn't see any, just plenty of dogs and their humans out walking and this horse making way to seek some shelter.  I love walking in the snow, everywhere looks magical and it's so quiet.  Hate driving in the snow though and feel sorry for everyone who has to.

Another magical thing today, we saw a flock of Long Tailed Tits in the tree at the bottom of the garden, never to have been seen before, but to prove it, a very bad shot of one in extra!
